EF81 turns on automatically :O

Postby TB » Sat Nov 06, 2010 12:52pm

Hey. Again, my EF81 is playing funny lool

I usually turn my phone off at night, but now it just started turning on by itself -.-

while I'm in bed, I sometimes see a blue light coming don't know where from and, when I look, its the phone xD And it just did it some minutes ago. If i just let it be, it will turn off after some minutes. If I open the clamshell when it turns on by itself, the inner screen shows no image, so I have to turn it off and on again. Weird.

Would an update fix it? Is it a battery related issue? Or just I just remove the battery every time I want to turn it off? LOOL

The sleepwalker bug. all my brew phones do that. e81, sl91 (using it to post this message) and sxg75 turn on alone when off. but then go off by itself.

Only turning it off isn't enough. You have to give it sleeping pills/drugs as well. Also, you might want to wrap it in sleeping clothes for a more stable sleep cycle.

LOOL right, thought there was something wrong, but i can now see that the problem of all those phones is that they are suffering of somnambulism ahahahah

:D

Luckily, I cannot remember having that problem on my EF81, E81 or the SL91 (which now is in Sandstorm's hands). But I've read posts from several EF81-users with the problem, so I guess it's common. :wtf:

Ivory, you used to turn them off at night? :-|
Curiously, once I did shut down E81 and SXG75 at same time, and when I used to sleep the night at home, both turned on at almost the same time. xD
E81 was faster to get back to sleep btw. xD
I think they were making sure I was sleeping, to take over me. o.O

I don't think so.. but I can't clearly remember

Does it sleep walk only once or several times? Because the SL91 might have woken up several times while shipping to Portugal, wondering wtf was happening :P Maybe I should have disconnected the poor thing from its battery...

LOOL! so you guys made business xD I wish I could put my hands on a SL91 or a EF82... a dream that will never come true :'( on eBay, there are Sl91's that very often have bids like 200€ and more :| :| chock... how I regret not having bought that EF82 some months ago... I even sent the link to Sandstorm, to see if he would buy it. It was a 'buy now', and it was about 30€ or something, but would come without keyboard, battery and battery cover. The battery cover and the battery would be no problem, but the keyboard don't know if the EF81's would do... anyway, it's no longer there. Haven't seen a EF82 on eBay (German) for a looong while, and the last one I've seen was about 120€ :(

She is standing here near me saying hello to you! :D
Maybe once or twice a day. But currently when I am using a phone, I have it always on.

But still, I think I would prefer a EF82 over the SL91... the EF's sound seems to be, at least in EF81 and think that in EF82 too, awesoome :( and it's dark, with red lights, oh goosh ahah

I like a metal body much more than a glossy body. Trust me, I love SL91. Even with its hard to use not properly finished sensors because it is a proto, and being a fingerprint magnet. Is a great device anyway!
But a metal body will always be, that stuff. ;)

Is there any place where I could get a new EF82 for something like 30€ + shipping? LOL I mean, it could come without battery or battery cover, I wouldn't mind, I'm not picky, I just want one *.*

Because forget eBay, there's nothing there anymore :(

There is one SL91 now, 2 hours to finish, but already in 58€ -.-

just to think the first units went there being sold at 600, 700 euros... Then ebay removed all sales.
Another one I'd like to have, is SG75

Just the thought that I let that opportunity escape makes me mad... just because it hadn't a keyboard :(

yeah, I mean... obviously that I'd much rather get one complete (way much), but between having one keyboardless and not having any, I'd go for the first option eheh
