Do you think it is possible to play such a game in EF81? Or its just a fake? 'Cause when you look at the phone it looks a bit... fake! Lol! Looks like it's made of plastic! Go watch it...

I think it's real. I remember when I played speedracer 3d (or something) on CX65. It didn't run very smoothly, but I got about 5-10 fps. EF81 is certainly more powerful than CX65 and is thus capable of running such a 3d game at a higher framerate.

BREW (at least the SXG75 and the SF71) sucks at 3D Java: when in 3D mode, the screen gets dithered to 25% resolution. In practice, they get 120x160.

The SF71 comes with a Need for Speed, native BREW app. And its graphics are really jaw-dropping! So, even though the video might be showing the EF81 playing a gameplay video (), it might also be real realtime.

remember we can install brew apps on our brew phones if we unlock it on them.
That game is indeed a brew game, so it is no wonder the graphics are that good. and fast.

Do you know how to install it? I mean, in the that video's description, they put the files and etc we need to install it, but I have no idea how to do it...
It was written in Polish, so I Google translated it:

"Resident Evil at BREW Degenaration 3.1.317
The game requires about 6MB of RAM
And of course unlocked Brew
http://maniekse7en.zxq.net/viewtopic.php?p=27 # 27

Game ported from LG VX11000 (Screen size 480x800)

The game can be downloaded for free under licenses:

Download:

This is my first movie of this kind a little hard to play and record on camera"

Here they are. But how to install it? I would like to try! But I don't want to mess my EF81, so haven't tried anything yet...

Edit: Well, this apparently requires you to change some file called SYS.ESN :o Nah, not going to try it

Yeah, this is true and the video showing gameplay is real.

I have this BREW game and a few others on my SXG75. It isn't so hard to install it, on sites like AllSiemens and SiemensMania are instructions how to do it. :)

the opening of brew when it started used to be limited (to 1 year maybe?), I wonder if that issue has been solved? I'm so damn outdated by now.

No, there is still a one year limitation. The last certificate expired yesterday and the new one still isn't yet. :bleh:

Wtf are you talking about? I don't understand aaanything... but don't bother explaining, really, I rather stay ignorant  Well, it would be cool play RE in my EF81. Resident Evil is the game I like the most, since ever, and EF81 is the greatest mobile I've ever had, so they make a perfect couple  :D

I've tested it now and it works again, if I change the phone's date before the date, when the certificate was expired. :D

I agree, SXG has a great keyboard. If you want something like Need For Speed, you can try Asphalt Urban GT 2 3D or Andretti Racing 3D.

SL91 is one of the best I've tried so far to play emulators :o I mean, among the other Siemens of course. EF81 is a bit slow, and SL91 also, but is a bit faster, well, maybe a lot faster in some cases.

I have Gameboy emulator with Pokemon Trading Cart Game there and NES Emulator, with the classic Super Mario. Super Mario plays so smooth, its great :D :D (even though there is no sound in both games, at least GameBoy emulator has the enable sound option, but nothing happens, so I guess its the phone).

its cool, but the bigger the image, the slower it gets. although the quality looks awesome when you stretch the image, it will run a bit (sometimes a lot) slower...

here, some pics...

Also, don't know if playing emulators is a good thing for the phone :-|
I think it's better to remove them... I guess it requires too much from the phone...
