Hi everyone
I'm the owner of an italian Benq T51. I've been looking for help for weeks, I hope someone here can help me
1. On the user manual, is said that this model can be synchronize with a pc, or used as a webcam. It also says that these two features need a pc software. The thing is that there's no cd or dvd inside the box. The phone I bought is branded by TIM, so I was wondering: maybe a foreign no-brand version can be bought with the bundled software? I dont really care about the webcam, but making a backup of my address book would be nice.
2. Can't figure out how to load java games. The phone can be seen by a pc as a removable drive. I tried to load jar files inside the Java folder, or inside Other... nothing. I also tried to send them through bluetooth but still nothing... am I missing something?
Of course I tried to contact BenQ support, but I was disappointed when they replied that "BenQ-Siemens T51 is not supported by BenQ-Siemens"... just unbelievable XD
Well... I hope someone can help me... thank you in advance |

Just posting to say that the software works fine: everything mentioned in the manual is supported now. It also allows to backup addressbook, messages and everything.
You can also load games through it, but they have to be less than 230kb (which is bad, since the most of the games I own are above 230kb).
You need to load both the jar and the jad.
Subsequently I tried to load the games without the program (through usb). One I couldnt load through the program, because it was more than 230kb, worked even if veeeery slowly. All the others didnt ("midlet error").
Looks like the program isnt necessary to load games, after all, but it's extremely useful for the synching funcions and such.
Thanks a lot
(I crossposted my question, and this very post (mine), to another benq-siemens board. I hope this is not a problem ) |

No problem! As you can see, many of us roam more than one Siemens forum. _________________
