|
Hi,
I got a M65 and its FFS-version is M6C, I hate the china bookmarks in My Stuff and want to get rid of them.
I downloaded file M65_589500.xbz_service.exe and plug the phone to COM port, execute the file, config port and press START, the phone turn off and update program say: ...denied by phone.
Anyone can help me solve this problem?
Thanks in advance. |

Nope man, DCA-540 cannot be used for flashing\patching.
you need the DCA-510 or one dedicated flasher cable. _________________ Feel the storm power

SXG was made to be flashed with dca540.
M75 was a evolution who allowed it, but still, not all flashings can be possible with that cable.
ebay might have them original and cheap _________________ Feel the storm power

hi mate,
I've just got a DCA-510 from Hongkong
But when I try running winswups, it checks the phone then turns it off. afterward, the update cannot be done because "device is not prepared".
How can I get the update done?
thanks
Happy New Year, btw |

this is a easy one
1-> connect phone to pc. Phone needs to be turned off
2-> config port to your current com that have your cable. Set speed as 115200 baudrate
3-> click ok to return to WS main screen
4-> check both boxes precheck and procheck (make sure you see the "v" inside them)
5-> Click on start, and then, press briefly the red button of your phone (fast pushes without turning on the phone)
6-> If the bars start moving, then, let it proceed!
Of course you need the battery charged.
When the WS turn light screen, your phone have been upgraded.
Good luck out there mate
oh, and did you changed the model to M65 instead of M6C? If you don't do it, you won't be able to load those common winswups.
good luck! _________________ Feel the storm power

Hi SandStorm,
I got the same problem when trying firmware update from version 12 to 16 on my M65 Rescue ( I got from China).
When check over *#06#, it shows FFS-version : M6C_...
But when I check with x65Flasher, phone model is M65 already.
I follow the steps above, but when I put check-mark on Pre-check,
there is winswup warning, as below :
What should I do for the next?
Thanks in advanced. |

If you follow the instructions I gave on my post, you just need to proceed.
The FFS is the customization the phone have there.
Just go ahead and upgrade, good luck. _________________ Feel the storm power

Hello Sand,
I already follow the steps you given on your post, even the winswup warning comes out.
After click on Start and press briefly the red button, the progress bar "connecting" moves (left to right), after that stops and there is information as below :
Is there something wrong? |

I put checkmark on precheck and postcheck already. The capture is taken after the error happened.
But I already solved this problem last week as advised from a user.
I use x65PapuaUtils.v111b to do Format FFS.
I can upload my steps here, but will it break forum rule? |

Hi Sandy and all,
Finally I can update my M65 Rescue to firmware ver.16 with WinSwup smoothly.
Thanks to Sotaland for your friendly support. The steps are quite long and tired.
Thanks also to siemens-xp member who gave me advise and support.
I update from 12 ---> 16 ---> 44 ---> 50 successfully.
Here are my steps and first time I use "Format FFS" tab.
Very dangerous in fact.
You can try this...but in your own risk!!!
Here are my steps :
1. Phone in off condition.
2. Connect to PC with DCA-510
3. Run PapuaUtils
4. Open Settings tab and click on “Service Mode”
5. Short press red button
6. Go to Various tab and click on “Read IMEI”
7. Click on “Freeze” and error happened “In this mode Feeze not possible”
8. Switch off phone
9. Switch on phone
10. Go to Codes tab and click on “Read code” (ESN and HASH will fill in automatically)
11. Fill SKEY field with 12345678
12. Click on “Calculate HASH and BootKEY from ESN + SKEY”
13. Switch off phone
14. Go to Flash tab and put check-mark on :
- In Flash
- In Bcore
- 76, 5008, 5009, 5077
- Master codes
15. Click on “Do the Job”
16. Short press red button
17. Go to Settings tab and click on “Service Mode”
18. Shortpress red button
19. Go to Various tab, click on “Read IMEI”
20. Click on “Freeze”
21. “In this mode Feeze not possible”
22. Open FFS Format tab
23. Click on “BCORE”
24. Click on “Yes”
25. Click again on “Yes”
26. Wait…
27. Push red button to switch off phone
28. Push red button and wait 2 – 5 minutes (Nothing happened on the phone. Just wait!!!)
29. Go to “Flash” tab and put check-mark only on “New BCORE”
30. Click on “Do the Job”
31. Short press red button to auto ignition
32. Then in “Flash” tab, put check mark only on :
- In Flash
- In Bcore
- 76, 5008, 5009, 5077
- Master codes
33. Click on “Do the Job”
34. Go to “Settings” tab and click on “Service Mode”
35. Short press red button to auto ignition
36. Go to “Various” tab (make sure IMEI is filled, if not click on “Read IMEI”)
37. Click on “Freeze” --> Freeze (5) : It is executed
38. Switch off phone
39. Switch on phone
40. Switch off phone
41. Run WinSwup
42. Put check-mark on “Pre-Check” and “Post-Check”
43. Click “Start” and short press red button
44. Voila…WinSwup works fine….wait until finish.
