I'm not 100% sure, but I'm almost certain that the E71 doesn't have A2DP. Sad

S65 and M65, same platform, but M65 don't have BT and memory card Wink

yes, but here we're talking about a "minor" thing, a simple protocol. Smile

Hi all,

It's seems that my battery for E71 started to inflate itself. So, since a new one is a bit expensive and no equivalent is on the market I bought a battery bl-5c for nokia from eBay.

The dimensions are the same, the polarity idem, the amperage it's higer but with no consequences. The problem is that the battery doesn't want to work, the phone won't turn on. Do you have any idea why?

A few years ago I made a test with a battery from nokia (don't remember its code) and worked.

Thanks in advance.

Are you ready for some tricky work? Wink
open both batteries and exchange the controller PCB from your older battery to the new.

Updates:

Operation almost failed! Smile It was a different architecture and I think I made a small short-circuit Razz

But, I noticed something interesting, once I got off the layer with Benq logo on the battery it is written: Samsung.

Do you have a similar Samsung battery near you, so you can make a try? I'll try to make one myself in the days they come.

That's all for now. OVER! Smile

samsung, panasonic (matsushita), sannyo, sony and some others made battery cells, so it is quite common.
for example, my previous A36, when i disassembled the battery, it was from varta. Smile

I'm sorry but I don't own any samsung phone I could try that operation. Sad

I had a chance to try with a battery from Samsung E series, this weekend but my phone was at home. Otherwise I made an analysis of the battery and it looked similar to mine (same pin arrangements). My thought is if Samsung made that cell it's inappropriate for them to use other cells type for their models Smile

In my country, at retailers even OEM are expensive and it isn't quite accessibly for me to buy the batteries and then try them. The disadvantage in buying them from ebay is the waiting time (two ore more weeks)

But I will keep you in touch if there are any news Wink

my original battery also get fat.
all i did was just bought the aikon bl4c and it works perfectly, no hassle..
tried bl5c (bigger capacity indeed), but it's too thick, can't close the back cover with it.
you might wanna try that.
